In the process of operating household appliances and other electrical equipment, the power consumed by each of these devices is of great importance. This makes it possible to calculate the load and select the most optimal wire section.

The power of any consumers of electric energy is very easily determined if the magnitude of the current in the network is known. For these purposes, the Joule-Lenz law was derived. In accordance with it, the power is calculated by the formula: P = U x I, in which P is the power measured in watts, U is the voltage in volts, and I is the current in amperes.

According to this scheme, you can quickly calculate the power of any consumer of electrical energy. For example, if the current consumed by a car bulb is 5 amperes, and the voltage in the on-board network is 12 volts, then in accordance with the formula, the bulb power will be: P = 12V x 5A = 60W. In the same way, you can determine the power that a conventional washing machine consumes. If the current value is within 10 amperes, and the voltage of the home network is 220 volts, then the result is 220V x 10A = 2.2 kW. **The calculation of energy consumption will help in the formation of a rational approach to energy consumption and the economical use of communal resources in the house or apartment where the consumer lives, and will also be useful in planning energy supply systems at the facility under construction.**

The above calculations will help to calculate the power consumption of a residential facility - finished or under construction. After calculating the kilowatts, you can understand whether there are resources for saving, in which area a more rational approach to energy consumption is required, whether the level of power allowed by the contract is respected, or should you contact the energy supplier and increase it.

For the calculation, it is necessary to select from table 1 the energy consumers that are (will be) in your house or apartment and calculate their total capacity. If there are more than one consumers (for example, TVs or light bulbs), the power from the table is multiplied by the corresponding amount.

Next, you need to multiply the amount received by the coefficient from table 2, choosing it depending on the received total power consumption.

*Example**: if the sum of consumers you get 17 kW, then, according to the table, the demand coefficient will be 0.65: 17 x 0.65 = 11.05. Thus, the estimated value of the power consumed by your house or apartment is 11.05 kW.*

**Important!**

- If the power level specified in your contract with the State Unitary Enterprise RK Krymenergo is less than the value obtained, it is necessary to increase it by contacting the customer service center (point) at the place of residence to amend the contract.
- Including household electrical appliances, do not forget about the resources of the house and apartment wiring, which can be calculated for the values indicated in the energy supply agreement.
